EBlocks is an innovative, environmentally friendly building technology, ideal for simple to high end structures, single or multi-story, including homes, schools, hotels and other buildings. It utilizes factory-built panels with a high density, expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam core, a fiberglass mesh structural underlay and a proprietary polymer mineral composite coating compound outer finish. It provides light weight, permanent concrete form for flooring design, slabs, columns and beams. Structural columns and beams are produced by filling vertical core holes and horizontal beam channels in the panels with reinforced concrete. Installed panels provide a semi-finished, insulated wall, ready for final finishing.
EBlocks homes have been rated to withstand 300 km winds. This protects against typhoons, ensuring safety during the most brutal storms in tropical climates.
EXCELLENT THERMAL CHARACTERISTICS
EBlocks panels have excellent insulation properties with R-Values ranging from 24 (Series 150) to 32 (for Series 200). This keeps the inside of an EBlocks home cool regardless of the heat outside. In comparison, R-Value of CHB ranges from 0.80 (for 4” CHB) to 1.11 (for 8” CHB). This provides little or no insulation at all.
EBlocks wall system is water resistant as the EPS used in the wall panels absorb less that 4% of its volume.
EBlocks construction sites generate minimal waste/debris compared to traditional construction sites resulting in environmental friendly and non-invasive construction sites.
EBlocks homes are seismic tolerant due to its structure and the composition of the building system. The foundation and its reinforced concrete walls keep EBlocks homes safe and intact during destructive tremors.
The expanded polystyrene (EPS) used to manufacture EBlocks panels is fire retardant grade. Combined with polymer imported from Belgium, EBlocks panels have a fire rating in excess of 1-hour.
EBlocks wall are ready to accept paint without the need for acid treatment. The anti-moisture properties of the wall panels ensure non-bloating paint.
The EBlocks system by the nature of its process allows for an efficient construction resulting in savings in manpower, formworks, materials handling, housekeeping, waste disposal, project supervision, and cost of money.
